How it Works

Champion

You will now have several occasions over the course of a year to meet with your “Champion.” You and your Champion will work together and have conversations focused on career development and exchanging feedback.

Partner

You will have ownership in your personal growth as a “Partner,” collaborating in a dialogue with your Champion, reflecting on your performance, identifying learning opportunities, setting career goals, and establishing pathways to accomplish those goals and track your progress.

Check-ins and Touch-points

Partners and Champions should have approximately three semi-formal “check-in” conversations per year, supported by an even sprinkling of informal “touch points” over the course of 12 months. These meetings don’t need to be highly structured and choreographed; check-ins can be held over lunch at a favorite restaurant, for example, and touch points can be as simple as a brief walk-and-talk or a quick chat while getting coffee in the kitchen. The intent is to encourage more frequent, in-time conversations while projects and assignments are fresh in everyone’s minds, as opposed to a one-time, year-end review.
